  In the 1880 U.S. Federal Census, Frank Ellis (I believe this the same one that married Margaret E. Brewer) is an 18 year old, white, single male. He is living with the A. C. Barr family as a border. He is employed as a laborer. The indication is that he was born in Iowa; however, the marriage record indicates that he was born in Wisconsin. [FCE 02.] [I do not think that this discrepancy is important because I believe the Frank of the marriage record is the same as this one. Frank may have been living in Eagle Grove, Iowa, at the time of the marriage to Margaret E. Brewer. [FCE 01.] According to Nadine Dingman, there are no burial records or death records for Frank Ellis. Thus, it is not clear when he died.
