She was born in Wisconsin of parents who were born in Germany and who speak German as their native language. She speaks, reads, and writes English. She is a servant in the employ of Clarence McComber who owns a hotel in Fairchild. She is a cook in the hotel who is a wage worker. She was not out of work on April 15, 1910. She was not out of work in 1909. It appears that she lives at the hotel with six other women and the hotel clerk. Her father died between 1900 and 1910, thus, it appears that Laura is on her own.
