       In the 1885 Minnesota State Census, Christina Eggers is an 18 year old, white, married female. [If I read the census correctly, it says she is 41; that is incorrect.] She is married to John Preiss. She was born in Minnesota. The couple have two children: Lizzie and Clara. The family lives in Dahlgren Township, Carver County, Minnesota. [JPr 04.]
       The 1895 Minnesota State Census is very difficult to read. Christine Eggers Preiss is a 28 year old, white, female who was born in Minnesota. She is married to John Preiss. They live in Dahlgren Township, Carver County, Minnesota with seven children: Lizze, Clara, Emma, John, Lena, Fredrich, and William. Margaret, the mother of John Preiss, also lives with the family as Michael, John's father, is no longer living. [JPr. 02.]
       In the 1900 U. S. Federal Census, Christina Eggers Preiss is a 34 year old, white, married female. She has been married to John Preiss for 17 years. She was born in Minnesota of parents who were both born in Germany.        In the 1910 U. S. Federal Census, Christina A. Eggers Preiss is a 44 year old, white, married female. She has been married to John Preiss for 27 years. She has given birth to 10 children in that time, nine of whom are still living at this time. She was born in Minnesota of parents who were both born in Germany, who also both spoke German. She considers herself a laborer on the home farm and as an employee. She was employed on the 15th of April 1910. She reads, speaks, and writes English.
