             In the 1856 Iowa State Census, Lucretia Stanley (Drought) is a 22 year old, white, female, probably a widow, who lives in New Castle, Boone Township, Webster County, Iowa, with her mother, Nancy Brewer (Stanley). With her is her daughter, Sophia, and three brothers (Joseph W. , Wilson C., and John H. ). She was born in Indiana. She has lived in Iowa for five years. [NB 04.]
