Notes |
- Andrew Jackson Brewer was born ...1815 and was the youngest son [of Thomas and Lucretia]. He was married about 1835 to Jane -----. Deeds in Kosciusko Co. executed by him and to him, name him as Jackson Brewer except in the deed by him as administrator for the estate of Philo Vendoran (May 3 1863, Bk. 23, p. 341) wherein he is named Andrew J. Brewer but which he signed as Jackson Brewer. Jackson was a big man, light colored hair and blue eyes. He died May 31, 1898, at the home of his daughter Jane at Kalamazoo, Mich, where he is buried. He lived in Kosciusko Co. from the time he first went there until a few years prior to his death when he became feeble. Listed with Jackson in the 1850 Census is Lucretia Brewer, age 84, born in N. Carolina, who was probably his mother. [AJackB 01.]
