He was first married at the age of 29 to Martha P. Nehring. He is ale to read, write, and speak English. He has not attended school or college since September 1, 1929. Henry does own his home, which is valued at approximately $2,000. The family does not live on a farm. And the family does have a radio set. Henry has no occupation and is not a veteran of any U. S. military unit. He lives with his wife, Martha and two sons, Helmuth and Emil in the town of Augusta, in Eau Claire County, Wisconsin. [HBoe 05.]
             In the 1940 U. S. Federal Census, Henry E. Boettcher is a 55 year old, white married male. He was born in Wisconsin of parents who were both born in Germany. There is a contradictory statement on the Census form in that in one place there is an indication that the home is on a farm and in another place it is on a farm. I guess the reader will have to choose the truth. Henry does not have a Social Security Card. Henry was at work during the week of March 24-30 in private work. He is a farmer working in general farming. He is working on his own account. He did receive income of $50 or more from sources other than money wages or salary. Henry is not a Veteran of any U.
