Mrs. C. A. Pierce, whose young husband was laid to rest in this city on Jan. 1st., passed to her final rest at an early hour Friday morning, Feb. 24th, after a most distressing illness extending back to the time of the death of her husband. She had been a great sufferer but was anxious to go and be at rest with her beloved companion. She died at her home in Independence Township and leaves one child about four years of age. The sympathy of all will go out to the afflicted ones in their great double sorrow.
