      In the 1900 U. S. Federal Census, Sara Maila (Mamie) Smith (Seamands) is a white, 22 year old, married for one year, female. She is married to Francis W. Seamands and is the daughter of Maila Churchill Smith and Isaac Smith. She reads, writes, and speaks English; She was born in Iowa of parents from New York (father) and Michigan (mother). Sara lives with her husband, her parents, and a nephew, Floyd S. Pierce, in Independence Township, Hamilton County, Iowa. [FSP 03.]
