    •        In the 1940 U. S. Federal Census, Betty Ruth Lange is a seven year old, white, single female. She has completed one year of school. She was born in Wisconsin and lives in the same place she did on April 1, 1935, on a farm. She has no employ. She lives with her parents, Otto and Hazel and four siblings - two sisters: Dorothy and Della, as well as two brothers - Alvin and Harvey. The family lives in Cleveland Township, Jackson County, Wisconsin. [OGL 18.]

      Obituary for Betty Krause
             Betty R. Krause, age 84, of Berlin passed away June 2, 2017, at the Montello Care Center. Betty was born in Fairchild, Wisconsin on October 2, 1932 to Otto and Hazel (Frank) Lange.
             On September 9, 1951, Betty married Robert W. Krause and they were blessed with five children. She worked at Evergreen Manor in Oshkosh for more than 21 years.
      Betty was a member of Saint Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church Newton and enjoyed attending services with her family. She also enjoyed cooking for her family, playing Skip Bo, cheering for the Green Bay Packers and watching the Milwaukee Bucks.
             Betty is survived by her husband, Robert and her younger brother Harvey Lange of Cornell, Wisconsin, as well as her five children: Dale Krause of Berlin, Gary (Denise) Krause of Princeton, James (Kristin) Krause of Beaver Dam, David (Justine) Krause of Omro, and Susan (Richard) Kemnitz of Montello. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Betty is preceded in death by her parents as well as two sisters and one brother.
             Funeral services will be held at Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home in Berlin on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Tom Mickelson officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
             The family of Betty wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff of Montello Care Center for the great care of their mother.
