The family lives in Cleveland Township, Jackson County, Wisconsin. [EH 04.]        In the 1930 U.S. Federal Census, Esther is a 15 year old, white, single female, who is still going to school. She can read, write, and speak English. She was born in Wisconsin of a father, who also was born in Wisconsin and of a mother, who was born in Germany. Esther lives with her parents, Martha and Ernest and four siblings, all brothers: Walter, Reinhold, Alvin, and Otto. The family lives on Fish Pond Road in Cleveland Township, Jackson County, Wisconsin. [EH 05.]        In the 1940 U. S. Federal Census, Esther is a 25 year old, white, single female who is working as a made in the home of E. R. Volkman in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
